Language Arts
I graduated from Maize High School in May of 2013. I attended the Maize schools all my life.
I graduated from Emporia State University with a degree in Secondary English Education in May of 2018.
Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education
CHAMPS training through BPHS.
This is my very first year teaching. I am certified to teach English grades 6-12. I am currently teaching ILC Study Skills, Senior Study Hall, English Lab, and Freshman English.
Since I just graduated in May of 2018, the only experience I have is what I was exposed to during student teaching in my last semester of college. However, I have experience managing 25-student classrooms, so the smaller classroom sizes are a pleasant change!
I have been a reader and a writer since sixth grade when I had the most fantastic Reading and Literature teacher. She inspired me several years later to become a teacher of the subject she inspired me to love.
I am single but in a long-term relationship. I do not have any children, but I do plan to have children once I get settled into my teaching career and settle my boyfriend down (he’s currently in Abilene, KS).
I have several pets as I love animals, including two rats (Ozzy and Rose), a corn snake (Genesis), a dog (Henna), and a horse (Ellie). My childhood cat lives at home with my mom.
I enjoy reading, writing, horseback riding, gaming, and watching Youtube/Netfllix/Amazon Video.
